Hello. My name is Alex, and I have been a fan of Akasha's Web for quite a few years. I am a man in my mid forties, and have been submissive since, well, my whole life really, but I didn't come to terms with it till my late twenties.
I have been to a lot of professional dominatrixes over the years, and almost always find the experience a thrill, but ultimately empty. This is not a reflection on the talents of the Ladies I have spent time with -- some of them have been very skilled indeed! But I just can't relax and let this aspect of my personality really come out when I am in a 1 or 2 hour session with someone I just met. Like I said, it's fun, but not really fulfilling. And frankly, I don't have the disposable income to see the same pro every week for a long time, which is what I think it would take for me to really get comfortable with Her.
I have been in three "serious" long-term relationships with women in my life, counting the Lady I am currently with.
In all three of these relationships I have, sooner or later, introduced the idea of female domination. None of my girlfriends had done it before, but none of them freaked out at the idea when I suggested it.
I think this is because I -- being submissive -- tend to be attracted to confident, assertive, somewhat "bossy" women in the first place. Even though they aren't explicitly doing dominatrix stuff, the idea doesn't put them off too badly.
I love the Lady I am with now very much. She and I are compatable and I am more comfortable with her than any woman I have ever been with in the past. She very much has that assertive, conifdent, bossy personality I like so much.
But getting her to let all those aspects of her personality run wild and rule our bedroom. . . well, let me just say that success has been tentative and limited. I'm hoping to find some good advice here in this forum, or at least just be able to vent about this whole topic with people who understand.
