Has anyone seen a new commercial, i think it's some new college football channel or package that is available; i have direct tv. The commercial shows Women walking around town with school mascots on leashes. It's not just one or two, it's shows a busy sidewalk with multiple Women walking in and out of stores with school mascots on a leash like they are Their pets. i just thought it was interesting. i don't remember the product, next time i see the commercial i will name the product and what channel i saw it on.
I saw the commercial on MNBC. It is for FLOTV (whatever that is) and advertising being able to watch college football games. I believe that ESPN has used many of the same mascots in promos where they act macho. There is no doubt these are male (mascots) on leashes. Pretty interesting trend in the world of football. Not too long ago there was a beer commercial that was shown during NFL games in which a man misinterprets what his girlfriend has said and shows up at her appartment with a six pack of beer in a full French maid's uniform.(Sadly, she slams the door on him.) Another beer commercial shows three women in the stands of a football game competing for the last beer from a vendor. Two are Miss America types. The third is clad in black leather. Guess who the vendor gives the beer to? The image of a dominant-and often male ass kicking- female has become so commonplace on TV that I don't think very many people find it shocking.
i do think there is some shock value to it or they wouldn't use it. Those other examples are great examples and i remembered them after you brought them up. But that is the whole point of commercials is to provide some shock value so you remember it. What better way to get someone (men) to remember than to have Sexy Powerful Women in a position of control. i would say that all of those commercials were aimed at men as thier audience. So shock value is there, acceptance is also there. 20 - 30 years ago there wouldn't have been as much acceptance of something like Women walking men around on leashes. men will do mostly anything Women ask them to do, and now they are showing this concept in commercials.
it makes me hard when i see stuff like this on tv. Especially the subtle stuff.

Wow! saw an awesome Miller lite commercial last night. A guy walks up to a Female bartender and asks for a light beer. She then says what kind of light beer and adds that they have Miller Lite. he says, it doesn't matter. She asks him again maybe a couple of times if he'd like a Miller lite or just any light beer. he says that it doesn't matter and in an irritated tone. She says fine and hands him any light beer and tells him not to get his PANTIES in a bunch. he turns around and he has leopard print PANTIES on and they are pulled half way up his back so that they would be in a bunch, up his ass crack. This was funny enough, but then to end the commercial he was standing around drinking his any light beer and a Woman walked up to him; pulled on his PANTIES to give him more of a snuggie and then SPANKED him in public!
Maybe if Women came to my bar and spanked the guys theyd drink more Miller lite??
