Though I have thought about it many times in the past, I've never brought myself to go to a Pro Domme.  Not that I have anything against it by any means but I just can't reconcile the experience in my head.  They all have these applications you fill out telling them what you are looking for in a "scene" with them, your fetish/kink shopping list so to speak, any limits you have, etc.  

The part I can't reconcile is who exactly is dominating who in that scenario?  To me personally, and again I don't mean to offend anyone, this type of arrangement seems to have more to do with ordering a pizza than the D/s lifestyle.

A domme I "met" online suggested that this is the primary means of finding a FemDomme marriage and I just struggle to accept that as being reality.  Surely, there must be plenty of dominant women in the vanilla world too, right?  Perhaps my "alpha" personality sends the wrong signals or something - who knows...?

I've dabbled a little bit exploring sites like Alt.com, collarme, and Fetlife and have not any success finding "Her".  Alt is 95% submissive women, 5% pro domme, collarme is 95% spambots/fakes and 5% pro domme, and the amount of so-called "male doms" on Fetlife actually offends me too much to get very involved in the community or boards.  The same can be said for "munches" or community events/parties here in Southern Cal. They seem to be heavily advertised as open to all but the pictures all show male doms and female submissives and I just don't find male doms to be credible.

So having said all of that, where does one go to find a dominant woman?  Can't really put that on my match.com profile I guess...  :)

I suggest local groups.  I started exploring about a year ago and have found that going out and meeting the community is the best way to cut through the bull feces and meet real people you can connect with.  I have met a few play partners by meeting people at groups and just getting to know them there.  If you are 20-30 ish I would recommend a TNG group.  

Sadly many groups skew MaleDom, but FemDoms and malesub/bottoms are there too, so keep looking!  I am feeling like I am more of a bottom nowadays more than a submissive, going to groups and meeting people has shaped my personal perceptions of what I am on the kinky scale.

Thanks for the reply kT. I would much prefer to find a Femdom-only kinda group if such a thing exists out here but I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, when I first moved out to California there was one here but it appears to have disbanded a few years ago I guess. Will keep looking though, I'm sure there are options. Thanks again for the reply!

another site that you could try would be Femdomme society.  There is no such thing as a male dom.  The closest that i've seen is trans doms, but then again there are filters that you can use.  the website is www.femdommesociety.com  There are obviously probably at least a 3:1 ratio of submissive males to Dominant Females on the site but that is to be expected.  The Dominant Females will be able to tell that you are serious in your search.  It's interesting nonetheless, and there are a lot of California contacts, but it is a world wide site, so don't limit your search to just in your backyard.  Search the world, it's interesting.
